GREETINGS
Our May meeting on Zoom considered John Scoble's paper on Imagination & Spirituality. The meeting focused on the role of imagination in spirituality, with participants discussing how creativity can enhance their spiritual journeys. John Lennon's "Imagine" song served as a starting point for exploring how imagination can challenge conventional thinking and invite people to consider different perspectives on spiritual and social issues. The meeting heard a poem called “Happy and Sad” by Noel Stallard and discussed its implications.
There followed a demonstration of pottery as a contemplative practice that combines imagination with spiritual transformation. The presenter explained how working with clay can reveal inner truths and create tangible expressions of one's spiritual journey. Participants shared personal experiences with poetry, art, and creative practices, including how these activities help them connect with deeper realities and transform their understanding of themselves and the world.
The meeting also discussed an imaginative exercise involving the Good Samaritan parable, with members reflecting on how they might react in similar situations and what this reveals about human nature and spiritual compassion. The conversation ended with another of Noel Stallard's poems "I Don't Know," which described walking through Australian rainforests and emphasized the importance of slowing down to truly see and experience the natural world around us. In summary, participants were encouraged to use their own and others’ creative talents to enrich their spiritual journey.

FROM OUR ARCHIVES
Do you realise that our website has a very good search function? Enter keywords into the search box in the menu bar and find articles and information stored in our archives. As we add new material this function will become increasingly useful.
For example, this paper on Imaginative prayer in the Ignatian tradition was popular.
FUNDRAISING
Last year we sought to raise $5,000 to $6,000 to fund work to increase the visibility of our website to search engines. We are enormously grateful to Kate Dombroski and her team at Uforia for their support and heavily discounted fees; however, we have raised only half of this amount. This month we have also outlaid significant expenses for our mailing list software which is no longer free, and our website fees.
Consequently, we are launching a new appeal to raise $7,000 to sustain our growth and further website development. Can you please help us?
It is apparent that there is a hunger for information. We do not hold ourselves out to be theologians or experts. We seek only to help you in your own spiritual journey by providing information and connections with other spiritual seekers.
